Applicants must be 23 years of age, with a minimum of 2 years OTR driving experience. Who We’re Looking For
- Diesel technicians of all experience levels
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
- One to three months related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company insurability standards
Position Preferences
- Vocational technical school training or equivalent experience
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications
- Medium/Heavy Truck Parts Specialist Certification preferred
Essential Duties
- Function as a service technician who can perform minor repairs without supervision
- Perform work as outlined on minor repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, following dealership and factory standards.Assist with major repairs
- Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform the repair, as directed by a supervisor
- Assist other technicians with major repairsInspect vehicles for additional service needs
- Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts
- Save and tag parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer
- Examine the assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended
- Communicate with the service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time
- Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order
- Document all required information for the successful completion of a warranty claim
- Possess the ability to work in a team environment
- Road test vehicles when required or refer to the test technician
- Keep abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins
- Other duties may be assigned as needed
